Yes- you just need to get used to it! 🙂 Just encountering “get” here and there while reading and listening helps, but focusing on it will help you “get” there faster (meaning 2- movement 🙂)!

You’re absolutely right that we need to time to digest words with many meanings like GET! Just understanding what the word means is an extremely important first step!
Side note: one thing about GET that makes it a bit easier is that it is very commonly used, so there are plenty of chances to hear it in real life and reinforce your knowledge.
